Egg Hell is the music project of Greek-Syrian-Brazilian actor Jef Maarawi based in Athens, Greece. After being heavily involved in the "Brownie Crumbs" sessions (both in recordings and package design) it was about time to design the cover of Egg's debut album on Inner Ear Records. "Once Part Of A Whole Ship"'s main concept is inspired by the legendary shipwreck of the Medusa and the raft that became the home of the sailors - largely connected to incidents of cannibalism.
We soaked paper into sea water to create the textures. The Raft, the songs' wave-forms and the typography stand as holes onto the blue. The back cover is a revisit to the legendary "Unknown Pleasures" front cover.
